Hello Brothers and Sisters,

   My name is Michael Laub, and I am thrilled to become IBEW 756's new Organizer. I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share a little bit about why I am so excited to work with all of you.

   I have spent 30 years working in the field, doing all aspects of electrical work. From digging trenches and pulling wire, to ordering materials, laying out job assignments, and attending job site meetings. I did not begin my journey as a union member, but immediately after apprenticeship I joined the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Local 2061 as an electrician on "the Crawler" at Kennedy Space Center. After the Space Shuttle program ended work was slow. I drove Trucks cross country and worked in the oil fields of ND, OK, TX, and NM before coming home and accepting a non-union electrical job. Finally in February 2017 I was accepted into membership at IBEW Local 756! I believe having all these experiences on both sides gives me great perspective on why Union is the way. I'm deeply committed to the mission of empowering workers, advocating for fair treatment and building strong resilient communities. As your Organizer my primary goal is to support each of you, listen to your concerns, and grow our membership. These will help our collective efforts to improve working conditions, strengthen our bargaining power, and ensure everyone has a voice.

   I believe in the power of solidarity and the importance of unity in creating meaningful change. Every one of you is a vital part of this union, and I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in the coming weeks and months. Together we will tackle the challenges ahead, and I'm confident that by working together, we can continue to make real progress.
